Dr. Ramandeep Kaur

Speech Language Pathologist & Audiologist

About me

I’m Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, and I’ve spent the last 13 years finding possibility in the sometimes seemingly impossible. Whether it be with children looking to create their literal voices, graduates and clinicians looking to create new possibilities for themselves and those they serve. As a Speech Language Pathologist, teacher, mentor and mother, I strive to be the voice of what is possible in every facet of my life.

I am a specialist in speech and language development and disorders as well autism spectrum disorder(s), childhood apraxia of speech and Child Psychology. The changes within the Speech Language Pathology realm have been just as drastic but the kids I service really haven’t changed at all. They have the same language needs, I just know how to service them better these days along with my team.

Books Authored

  • Body Awareness for Children with Autism: A Guidebook for Parents

Published by Manipal Universal Press
Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder which develops during the early years of a child’s development. Interoception is one of the major areas which is affected among children with autism (CWA). A failure in this area leads to an inability to sense the internal state of the body like hunger, thirst, heartbeat, respiration, various emotions, self-awareness, and self-regulation. The book focuses on guiding parents and teachers through various visual schedules, strategies, simple pictures, games, and activities to teach body awareness, body safety, basic functional skills, general strategies, and tips to teach daily living activities to CWA right from 2-3 years of age so as to help them achieve independence in life.
